Serves: 6
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground pork
3 large garlic cloves, minced
2 1/2 tsp. fresh sage leaves, finely chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. freshly ground pepper (or 5 clicks/turns of grinder)
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. raw maple syrup
3 pinches of red pepper flakes (1 pinch if you don’t like your sausage hot)
Directions:
Stir together garlic, sage leaves, green onion, lemon juice, maple syrup, salt & pepper, cayenne pepper, pepper flakes in a medium-large bowl
After all of the ingredients are mixed, add sausage to bowl and stir together until combined, using two hands to mix and form into small patties
Heat a large non-stick skillet to low-medium heat and add small patties in batches
Brown each side for four minutes, combined 8 minutes total
Serve warm
